Using Google Tag Manager with Konduto

  • The page tagging process facilitates the understanding of the content of your pages in such a way that, through it, our algorithm acquires greater precision in its analyses, enabling it to assess the full context of the actions of the visitor on your site.

Page tagging is done with meta tags and can be done manually or through GTM.

1. Make a backup of your GTM

The purpose of this article is to help you in the process of including tags on your website using Google Tag Manager. To do this, follow the instructions for container  importing as shown below.

Before proceeding with the import of the Konduto container, if you already use GTM, make a backup of your existing content. This procedure will guarantee that you will be able to return to the previous version of your GTM in case any complications arise later on.

To do this, follow the following guidelines:

  • With your GTM open, click on "Administrator":

  • Select the container you wish to back up:

  • Click "Export container" and save the file:

2. Download the Konduto container

After you complete the backup, you need to import our container into your GTM, downloading via the link below:

http://download.konduto.com/GTM-KONDUTO.json

This container will automatically set the other screens in your GTM which are necessary for tagging the pages on your site.

These settings are generally extensive and, seeking to minimize the procedures, we ask that you follow the instructions below.

3.  Import the Konduto container

  • To import the container, click on "Import container" located on the same screen as the last setting configuration:

  • On the next screen, click on "CHOOSE CONTAINER FILE" and select the file sent by the Konduto team:

  • Click on "EXISTING":

  • Select the desktop you will use by clicking on it:

  • Select the option "Match":

As you can see in the image below, the colored boxes will show the content that will be merged.

ATTENTION: Be careful to not select the option "Substitute". If chosen, the substitution will undo your current GTM settings and you may have difficulty in correcting such changes.

  • Select the option "Substitute triggers, tags and variables in conflict.":

  • Click "Confirm" to complete the procedure:
